A different kind of adventure

A different kind of adventure

I have not reached out in  a while, as this winter I have been working as a clerk of the house for the Vermont State Legislature. I love running my business, but being a solopreneur can be lonely at times, especially in the winter when shows are markets are limited.

I have loved learning how the state government works and being a part of it on a daily basis. I get to sit in on the floor sessions of the State Representatives, hear debate, and see the passion that people have about a huge variety of issues. I get to witness the emotion that is on display in all areas of life. It is truly fascinating.

Last week I heard five hours of debate on banning neonicotinoid pesticides in Vermont. I enjoyed hearing the discussion about this very important issue, and will be interested to see if this bill becomes law.

As our most recent two feet of snow melts and I see green shoots popping up, I am getting really excited about the coming of spring and hiking season. I am already impatient for mud season to be over!

Most of my focus this winter has been working with individuals to create custom pieces, however I have been working on creating some new designs for spring and summer, and I am really excited about showing them to you. I plan to get things photographed in early May and will send an email when I have those photos.

I have a few changes coming up this summer! My booth will be at the Burlington Farmers Market every week and I will be at the Stowe Farmers Market every other week. I will not be at the Waitsfield Farmers market this summer. I am looking forward to having some free weekends in the summer and fall.

Do you have any questions for me? Feedback? Ideas? Stories or suggestions of fantastic hikes that you have been on or suggest? Please be in touch!

Warmly,

Courtney
